Cabinet Refacing vs New Cabinets?

Question

Accepted Answer

Reface when the cabinet boxes are structurally solid, the current layout works for your cooking and storage, and you want a 1–2 week project instead of 4–6. Replace when the boxes are damaged or out of date, the layout no longer functions, or you are changing the kitchen footprint. Refacing typically saves 30–50% versus new cabinetry.
