HomeGrown Roots & Repairs is licensed in New Jersey and works across Bergen County and nearby Passaic County. Below are the towns where we work most often — each with its own dedicated location page covering the housing stock, neighborhoods, and project types we see locally.
Bergen County's housing stock changes block to block. Ridgewood and Teaneck have pre-1940 Colonials and Tudors with original plaster ceilings that crack at the seams seasonally. Bergenfield, Fair Lawn, and New Milford are mid-century — 1950s-60s ranches, splits, and bi-levels with drywall throughout and the standard 8-foot ceilings. Hackensack and Englewood mix single-family with multifamily and rentals, which is its own kind of contractor work (faster turnover, landlord billing, smaller scopes). Paramus and River Edge have newer stock with more variety — including a steady stream of cosmetic refresh work that lets owners list or refinance.
The same licensed crew covers every town. NJ HIC #13VH13595500. Same standards, same workmanship, same warranty whether the job is a $200 drywall patch in Dumont or a $40,000 bathroom remodel in Ridgewood. For drywall, paint, and handyman calls, most weeks have appointments available within 2-4 business days regardless of which Bergen town you live in; remodels typically book 2-6 weeks out from estimate to start. If you live in Bergen County or a nearby Passaic County town and don't see your town on the list, call (201) 962-5031 and we'll confirm coverage.
